Knoxville Winter Activities

Let the winter festivities begin! Now that Halloween is over, Knoxville is in full holiday mode! If your family is looking for fun winter activities, look no further!
Disney On Ice- Knoxville Civic Autotorium presents Mickey and Friends on November 11-14. Tickets range from $22.00-75.00 and there are multiple showtimes throughout the weekend.
Market Square Farmers Market- The Market Square Farmers’ Market is an open-air farmers’ market located on Market Square in the heart of downtown Knoxville. Everything at the MSFM is grown or made by our vendors in the East Tennessee region. Products vary by the seasons and include produce, eggs, honey, herbs, pasture-raised meat, plants, bread, baked goods, salsas, coffee, artisan crafts, and more! Every Saturday until December 18.
Farragut Light The Park- Thousands of holiday lights will twinkle along Campbell Station Rd from the I-40 commuter lot to Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza at the Campbell Station Inn as part of the Light the Park event! There will be daily giveaways, food trucks, caroling from local organizations, and a special day of horse-drawn carriage rides at the Plaza. Carriage ride registrations begin November 1st on the Town of Farragut website. And as always, kids can drop off letters to Santa in the big mailbox at Founders Park at Campbell Station.
Fantasy of Trees- Come on out to the Knoxville Convention Center and see all the wonderful trees, gingerbread houses, vendor gifts, and more to support East Tennessee's Children's Hospital. Fantasy of Trees begins November 24, 2021 to November 28.
Downtown Peppermint Trail-Stroll around downtown to enjoy trees, windows, doors, and patios dripping in lights and dipped in peppermint. More than 100,000 lights and garlands throughout downtown create a Winter Wonderland and restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, bars and boutiques feature peppermint specials. Participate November 26-January 2.
Knoxville's Holidays on Ice- Whether with family, friends or on a date you'll love skating in the heart of Downtown Knoxville in Market Square! Join us at Holidays on Ice to make memories that will last long after the holidays are over. Enjoy skating under the stars and twinkling lights while listening to music every night. There may even be a panda sighting by the Holidays on Ice Mascot, 'Peppermint Panda'! The rink opens the day after Thanksgiving and will close on January 2, 2022.
Zoo Lights- Knoxville’s Newest Light Spectacular, Zoo Lights by Chick-fil-A Knoxville will return for a second year! Light up your nights this winter when you experience the outdoor lantern light-up at Zoo Knoxville! See a variety of colorful animal lanterns, tree lights, and more. Enjoy this unforgettable holiday tradition! Zoo Lights is an all-new light extravaganza featuring colorful animal lanterns, tree lights, and festive food and drinks. Zoo Lights opens on Friday, Nov. 26 and continues through Jan. 2, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. each evening
WIVK Christmas Parade-Join us December 3 at 7pm for the WIVK Christmas Parade! Bands, dancers, lighted floats, characters and Santa Claus parade down Gay Street and brings fun holiday spirit to all!
Rocky Hill Christmas Parade-Come see my Karli Pritchard, Realtor float at the Rocky Hill Christmas Parade on December 4! The parade steps off at 6pm, followed by a tree lighting, and pictures with Santa.
The Nutcracker- The lavish production will be presented on December 4th and 5th at The Knoxville Civic Auditorium. The evening performances are accompanied with live music by The Knoxville Symphony Orchestra.
Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas- Family memories are made when you take in a heartwarming holiday show, catch a festive ride on the Dollywood Express, or enjoy seasonal treats packed with classic flavor. The night ends with a celebratory crescendo of returning guest favorite Merry & Bright—a seasonal fireworks spectacular sure to inspire family memories to treasure for a lifetime.
